Katie Fergus ~ Miss Omak Stampede 2012

Greetings from your 2012 Miss Omak Stampede! With the support of my parents, Gary & Brenda Stevens, I've had the opportunity to participate in a variety of horsemanship activities from a young age. Whether it's a rodeo, reining show, 4-H event or trail ride - I love horses and I love to ride.

I grew up taking ballet & tap dancing lessons and now I share my passion for dance as a dance instructor. I currently attend Whitworth University and will graduate with a degree in Elementary Education then continue on for a Masters in Education.

Ever since I was little, I have dreamed of the opportunity to promote and educate others about my favorite rodeo as the Omak Stampede Queen. I am using the title of Miss Omak Stampede to reach new fans and share with them the values and western traditions that have made the Stampede the successful rodeo that it is today. It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as a role model and ambassador of the rodeo that I have grown up loving.
