OMAK STAMPEDE
The 92nd Annual Omak Stampede, August 13-16, 2026. "Always Leo Moomaw and Tim Bernard, who had started a rodeo string in 1932. They approached Omak's businessmen, who were eager to try anything to keep the Main Street of Omak busy!

SUICIDE RACE
Except for safety measures that have been added, the race is run today as it was in 1935 "no holds barred" on a course that starts 50 feet from a sandy bluff across the Okanogan River from the Stampede arena. Horses & riders race 225 feet down the bluff to the river, swim or wade across and dash 500 yards to the finish line in the center of the Stampede arena.

INDIAN ENCAMPMENT
Sponsored by the Colville Confederated Tribes, the annual Indian Encampment and Pow Wow held at the Omak Stampede Grounds is a traditional gathering. The Indian Encampment features an authentic teepee village, dancing, drumming and singing competitions and stick games - a Native American game of chance.
Introducing the 2026
Omak Stampede Poster
We are excited to introduce the 2026 Omak Stampede Poster!
Born and Raised on a Cattle Ranch in Eastern Oregon, Michelle Hopper is Rancher’s Girl by birth as well as in her heart. Her dream has always been to create a line that captures her love of the Western Lifestyle she Lives and Loves as well as embracing the unique individuality of women and their roles in rural community as moms,
daughters, sisters, grandmas, wives, and more.
She hand draws & Paints all her designs that she uses on her products, and they all hold a special story she is happy to share. Her unique style is characterized by bold uses of color, punchy sayings, and vintage western imagery. Many are inspired by her own experiences growing up as a Rancher’s Girl as well as from stories & imagery from her family and friends who share this same gift of living in rural America! She continues to ride and compete in rodeos around the Northwest. She hopes that whether you’re born and raised on a Ranch or just Ranchy at Heart that you will enjoy her Rancher’s Girl line and feel the Love that goes into all she creates!
Thank you so much to everyone who sent artwork for our consideration!
