Miss Omak Stampede 2016
83rd annual omak stampede
Miss Omak Stampede 2016, Emily Stevens, welcomes you to the 83rd Annual Omak Stampede and World Famous Suicide Race! What an honor to represent this prestigious rodeo! I am currently a Junior at Okanogan High School and participate in many school activities. I am a member of the Future Business Leaders of America club and I play on the girls’ varsity softball team. I have been the class Treasurer my Freshman and Sophomore years and this year I am the class Secretary. With the support of my parents, Gary and Brenda Stevens, I have had the opportunity to participate in a variety of horsemanship activities from a young age. I began competing in Junior Rodeos when I was 4 years old. Since then, I have been hooked on the sport of rodeo! I have served as the 2010 Okanogan County Junior Rodeo Princess, 2011 Nespelem Junior Rodeo Queen, 2014 and 2015 Okanogan County Junior Rodeo Queen. Ever since I was little, I have dreamed of the opportunity to promote and educate others about my favorite rodeo as the Omak Stampede Queen. I am using the title of Miss Omak Stampede to reach new fans and share with them the values and western traditions that have made the Stampede the successful rodeo that it is today. I am sharing how two cultures can unite to produce one great event. It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as a role model and ambassador of the rodeo that I have grown up loving!!
